Tarangire National Park
The Baobab Kingdom
Tarangire National Park is a park defined by majestic, ancient Baobab trees that stand like sentinels over rolling savannah. Often considered the forgotten gem of the Northern Circuit, Tarangire is anything but quiet; it is the dry-season sanctuary for the largest elephant population in Tanzania. It is an essential, beautiful stop that offers a distinct and intimate safari experience.
The River of Life
The park’s lifeblood is the Tarangire River, which flows year-round. When the surrounding plains dry up during the height of the dry season, this river becomes the magnet that draws incredible concentrations of wildlife, creating spectacular viewing opportunities right on the riverbanks.
